Guest Travel Info
Chichester is 1.5 - 2 hours from London by train or car. There are three convenient airports for the area: London Gatwick (LGW), Southampton International (SOU) and London Heathrow (LHR). Some travel options are:
- Five budget airlines provide great deals anywhere in western Europe, including Ireland, and within the UK. Ryanair and easyJet have flights into Gatwick (plus hubs north of London). flybmi and its sister company bmibaby mostly serve Heathrow and flybe is based in Southampton.

- Transaero Airlines fly from Moscow Domodedovo to Gatwick, which has direct trains to Chichester. Aeroflot has more frequent flights between Sheremetyevo and Heathrow for a similar price.

- Gatwick has some trans-Atlantic flights but most routes include at least one stop. Heathrow has a much larger choice of direct flights from the US even if the onward journey is a little longer. There are lots of carriers but we like Virgin Atlantic best!
For details about how to get to Chichester from the airports and other useful links please see the Local Info page.
American citizens do not normally require a UK visa but Russian citizens will need a visa to enter the UK (see Do I need a UK visa?). The application procedure is explained at the UK visas site and relevant Embassy sites (Russia; US). It is currently not possible to apply to the British Embassy in Moscow in person but alternative arrangements are in place. If we can be of any help, for example with documentation, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
